Words like these often roll off the shoulders as obligatory words of advice during a major professional shift, but David Sarnoff breathes life into it.
Known as The General of NBC and RCA, Sarnoff was instrumental in establishing both companies (despite misinformation, he is not a founder of either) and the AM broadcasting business. He saw broadcasting as a tool to reach the masses, and his passion for doing so led him to innovate the broadcasting by calling the attention of new audiences in riveting ways. Despite numerous rejections and ignores, Sarnoff found great success; he allowed networks to evolve into what they are today. What got him there, he says, was the dedication to and love of his vision.
