About the Artist:
Tawnya Marie is a second-generation artist raised in Alamogordo, New Mexico, where wide-open skies and vibrant sunsets helped shape her love of color and light. Now based in the Kansas City area, she works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and clay.

Her paintings range from luminous landscapes and quiet moments in nature to bold, expressive abstracts. While her subject matter varies, her work is connected by color, emotion, and storytelling. Some pieces begin with a memory, others with a feeling, a moment, or simply the desire to create something beautiful.

For Tawnya, art is a form of storytelling. Every piece holds something of the artist, but it also leaves room for the viewer to discover something of their own. Through her work, she hopes to spark a memory, stir an emotion, or create a connection that goes beyond the canvas.
