“As competition intensifies, the need for creative thinking increases. It is no longer enough to do the same thing better . . . no longer enough to be efficient and solve problems” — Edward de Bono

Creativity is the name of the game in innovation. And any company that is not innovating is running a real risk in the age of the fastest technological and societal advancement in the history of the world (i.e., right NOW).

Creativity is something you should encourage in your approach to everything: your company, your HR, your individual employee processes, etc. Your office is just one part of that, but it’s an important part. Regardless, make sure to incorporate the creative spirit into everything you do.

If you need a little help, take a page out of Douglas Rushkoff’s playbook, or break the creative block by stealing something from the philosophy of Alex Cornell.
